Harry Reid Is Attempting A Coup Against Joe Biden!

As faithful readers of this blog know, I am Joe Biden’s number one fan.  Not for his meaningless job as Veep, which does suit Joe like a velvet nose warmer as long as Obama, please God!, remains in good health.  I am of course referring to his real job:  beloved National Clown.  In these dark days of the Obamacession, he has lightened the national mood with his verbal pratfalls, non-sequiturs, theater of the absurd behavior, inability to think first and talk later and, in general, his heroic willingness to be a fool 24/7 to put a smile on our faces as we stare into the economic abyss.  A tear almost comes to my eye when I think of Joe’s unflappable dedication to a comic idiocy which no doubt is being loudly applauded by the  Three Stooges and the Marx Brothers in that land which knows only laughter.  We love ya Joe!

Therefore I can only view with complete alarm the ongoing campaign being waged by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to take away from Jolly Joe his status as our National Fool.  True, Harry Reid has always been given to saying wacky things.  For example, in 2008 he referred to Obama as a light skinned negro who didn’t speak with a negro dialect unless he wanted to have one.  In 2008 he gave his opinion of tourists in Washington:  “You can always tell when it is summertime because you can smell the visitors. The visitors stand out in the high humidity, heat, and they sweat.”  In 2009 he referred to tea-party members as “evil-mongers”.  So a certain level of daffiness is standard operating procedure for Reid.

However, lately, in what I believe is an organized campaign, he is beginning to make gaffes to seize national attention and laughter.  For example, he referred to Chris Coons, the Democrat nominee for the Senate from Delaware as “his pet”.  The O’Donnell campaign swiftly seized upon this gaffe.

Next, he referred to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand as the “hottest senator” at a fundraiser.  The junior senator from New York turned bright red, no doubt from pleasure at being the object of Senator Reid’s hoof in mouth fancy.

Well sure Don, I can hear you saying, but is there any evidence that Reid is trying to take away from Biden the title of National Clown?  Using Occam’s Razor isn’t the most likely explanation that Reid is simply an idiot with no mouth control?  Perhaps, except that his latest gaffes are starting to gain national attention as part of a pre-planned conspiracy between Reid and his lackeys in the mainstream media.

Exhibit A is an article which appeared in the Christian Science Monitor.  If there is a more stolid and less humorous organ of the mainstream media, I am unaware of it.

The story begins:  What’s up with Harry Reid? The Senate majority leader lately has been saying stuff about other Democrats that he means as compliments but come across as kind of, well, off. Cringe-inducing, in a mild sort of way.

Go here to read the story.

This story is no accident, as the Marxists used to say, but part of a cleverly organized campaign to topple our beloved Joe as National Buffoon!  Well I for one am not going to tolerate it.  I hereby announce that for every Reid gaffe, Joe can match him four-fold.  If  Reid thinks he can be a bigger public fool than Biden then he doesn’t know Joe.  Gaffes, Reid?  Joe is the King of Gaffes as the below video demonstrates:

Back off Reid!  You truly do not know who you are messing with.

What is realy funny is that you hear almost nothing from the media, from the likes of Letterman and Leno on the over the top comedy provided by these two.

God comedy should not be wasted…oh yeah guys like Letterman agree with their ….”opinion”.

[…] Some of us here at TAC enjoy having a little fun at the expense of politicians who make outrageous gaffes. I, myself, certainly enjoy indulging occasionally in a YouTube compilation of a particular politician’s vocal miscues. With the likes of Dan Quayle, George W. Bush, and Sarah Palin headlining the political laughfest, the GOP seems particularly apt at keeping the gaffes flowing. Of course, we cannot forget the Democrats’ own gaffe-machine, Joe Biden, who, unlike the aforementioned three, only seems to make the news because of a gaffe. Sometimes these gaffes are the result of “gotcha” journalism. Sometimes they are the result of blanking under pressure. Sometimes they are jokes gone wrong. Other times, they really point to a politician’s ignorance on an issue or topic. I don’t think a politician’s proclivity to make gaffes itself necessarily indicates that a politician is unqualified for or unworthy of a given office, though such a proclivity accompanied by other possibly worrisome characteristics in a politician (e.g., having a robust rap sheet, being a fan of light beer) may be sufficient to render him or her unsuitable for certain offices.
