Fundraising has exploded for Christine O’Donnell online since her primary win, according to Shane D’Aprile at The Hill’s campaign blog, The Ballot Box:
A source with knowledge of the campaign’s online fundraising operation said that not only is the money is coming in as fast as it did for Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) ahead of his special election, but that O’Donnell’s raising money online at a pace that’s two to three times faster than Sharron Angle in Nevada after her win in the primary.
Delaware is a small state, the old joke is that it has three counties but only two at high tide, both in land area and population, under a million. Christine O’Donnell will have an ample campaign war chest to fight this election in such a small arena. Additionally, donations of this magnitude from large numbers of donors will also translate into large numbers of volunteers to go door to door. The mainstream media is treating Christine O’Donnell as a joke, but she is putting together the elements necessary to wage a hard uphill political fight. People who underestimate this woman do so to their political peril.
