Is not the proper term, "pro-choice catholic"?

The idea that the USCCB will develope a spine is the truly laughable matter.

Call me a contrarian, but I think Rudy actually has a better shot in 2012 than he did in 2008. Not that he would necessarily win the GOP nomination, but I think he would have a MUCH better showing. Especially if the GOP field of presidential prospects doesn't improve significantly between now and then.

Then it would be time to gear up another Catholics Against Rudy effort.

I think a Senator Rudy would more likely be a fairly straight-line party guy when it comes to Judges, meaning he'd likely vote against the more extreme Obama selections and I doubt he'd vote against any GOP selections if there is ever a GOP President during his term.

I'd like to think he's smart enough to know he has no prayer of ever becoming President. And if he did, deciding to do so by going for a Senate seat rather than the governorship is truly strange. The current occupant aside, our presidents don't come from Congress. Then again, this is the guy who thought skipping a month's worth of primaries was a good strategy, so who knows.

As a Senator Giuliani wouldn't be so bad (at least he wouldn't have the power to bomb anyone). That he would run for president again after the flop of last time is just laughable.

Rudy has a better chance of being struck by lightning than being President, or Senator, or Governor or dog catcher

Giuliani would be more likely to support a pro-choice judge, all other things being equal, but he's first and foremost a law-and-order strict constructionist. Anyway, the current holder of that Senate seat in NY is a pro-choice Catholic.
