Throughout the ages it has been a bastion of the Faith in the Mediterranean and during WW2 the entire island was awarded the Victoria Cross, Britain's highest award for gallantry. I think this appointment, which is obviously Obama's way to fob off Kmiec with something Obama considers insignificant, may come back to haunt both Kmiec and Obama.
